Frequently asked questions

How do I create an account?

To create an account, click here, or follow the ‘Create account’ link on the e-Source login page. Once you have provided registration details, click ‘Create an account’. You will receive an email confirming your registration. To complete your registration, follow the instructions on the email.


I have forgotten my password. How do I recover it?

If you have forgotten your password, you can recover it by clicking here. Once you have entered your email address and clicked ‘Reset’, you will receive an email that will allow you to reset your password.


How do I reset my password?

To reset your password, click here or follow the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the login page. Enter your email address and click ‘Reset’. You will receive an email that will allow you to reset your password.


How do I register a product?

To register a product, simply enter your product activation code in the ‘Add a product to your library’ field of ‘My Resource Library’. When you have submitted your code, the product will appear in the resource library. You can access all the learning resources within the product by clicking ‘Open’ beside the product tab.


My activation code doesn’t work. What do I do?

If you’re having trouble with your product activation code, please email our Technical Support team at ptsupport@cambridge.org.


How do I delete products?

To delete a product, first open your resource library by clicking on the ‘My Resource Library’ link. Then, find the product you wish to delete and simply click ‘Delete product’. You will be asked if you really want to delete the product. Click ‘OK’.


What do I do if I accidentally delete a product?

If you accidentally delete a product from your library, you will be able to add it to your library again by submitting the product activation code following the steps found in the ‘How do I register a product?’ section above.


What can I do with registered products?

When you open a registered product, you will see a list of all of the resources available within the product. You can filter your results by chapter or by format. Most resources can either be opened in e-Source or downloaded to your computer, but web content can only be viewed online.


I can’t play the audio/video

Audio and video should play within most browsers and operating systems (see Minimum system requirements below). If the audio and video will not play, you can download the file by clicking on the ‘Download file’ link and play it using your computer’s media player. Please ensure that your computer is not set to mute and that if you have external speakers they are plugged in and switched on.


I can’t open a file

When you download and open a file from e-Source, it should automatically open in the correct software or in the browser window (depending on your browser). If you cannot open the file, check that you have the correct software installed. If you still encounter problems opening the file, please contact our Technical Support team at ptsupport@cambridge.org.


How do I find my activation code?

Your activation code will be in your printed book. The images below are examples of what they will look like. If you’re having trouble finding your product activation code, then our Technical Support team will be able to help. Email them at ptsupport@cambridge.org.
















Computer/browser issues

If your browser is encountering issues with e-Source, make sure you have installed the latest version of your web browser. For further information, see Minimum system requirements below.

If there are any updates to the resources on e-Source, these will be added to the site as soon as possible. The resources within your resource library will be updated automatically.

If there are other resources you would like to see on e-Source, you can contact our Technical Support team at ptsupport@cambridge.org. Your request will be passed onto the Publishing team, for consideration.


Reporting errors

If you encounter issues with e-Source, you can report them to our Technical Support team via email (ptsupport@cambridge.org). We will work hard to fix any technical problems as quickly as possible.





Minimum System Requirements


Operating system and browser

e-Source runs on most operating systems and browsers, including Internet Explorer 8 and above, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari. Some content, for instance flash files, may not be supported by all devices.


Hardware

You won't need any other hardware to run e-Source other than your computer. However, to listen to audio resources, you may need external speakers.


Internet connection

e-Source performs best over a broadband internet connection.


Additional software

To play flash content, a flash player will need to be installed.
